Floyd Mayweather’s sweet new 22,000-square-foot house is, well, sweet.  The master bedroom has a wet bar, a fireplace, an espresso machine and a balcony with a remote-control misting system.

Brokers estimate that the home is valued at about $9 million.

Mr. Mayweather’s custom-built home is on a golf course and has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.   The home has ceilings that are more than 24 feet high, and walls covered in materials such as red silk and textured glass.   Touch-screen videogame consoles sit on the kitchen counters.  The home’s movie theater is two-stories high, with two screens and additional seating on the second level.

The walk-in closet measures 600 square feet, roughly the size of my first apartment.  The cabinet that contains Mr. Mayweather’s collection of fur coats is lined with cedar.  I have the same type of cabinet in my house.  There’s nothing more bothersome than reaching for one of my man-furs and feeling like it isn’t quite fresh.

Actress Anne Archer, most notably recalled for her role as Michael Douglas’s victimized wife in “Fatal Attraction”, has listed her Portsmouth condominium for $1.1 million.

The townhouse is on Narragansett Bay in the Carnegie Abbey Sporting Estate, a golf and yachting club in Portsmouth.

Ms. Archer and her husband Terry Jastrow, bought the townhouse new in 2003.  It has 1,600 square feet, two bedrooms, two and a half baths, a wet bar and water views.

It remains unclear how much Dramamine she needed to survive filming with Mr. Douglas on a daily basis, or why Douglas’ character would find over permed, chain smoking,Cruella DeVille Glenn Close’s character remotely as alluring as Anne Archer’s.

Tom Brady may be down and out as our resident superhero / starting quarterback, but apparently he has some acumen in the real estate department.  In 2006, Brady bought a Boston building and began renovating and converting it into four condos.  According to the Boston Globe, the New England Patriot kept the top floor for himself and recently sold the other three to a South American businessman for $7.95 million — about $1.7 million more than he paid for the entire building.   Talk about “taking it to the house” literally!

But there’s more:
Besides the Boston property, Brady recently purchased lot pictured below on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Brentwood street for a mere $11 million and put his NYC pad on the market for $19 million.  There were plans to build a 20,000 square foot house on this lot, but Brady opted not to use them.  Apparently it was too small.
